What are bidirectional notes?
Bidirectional notes refer to creating connections between notes through bidirectional links ([[link]]), forming a non-linear knowledge network. Each link not only points to the target note but also automatically records backlinks (i.e., which notes point to the current note). Obsidian’s Graph View can visualize these connections, helping users discover relationships between content.
Core Features
  • Bidirectional Links: Adding [[Note B]] in Note A will show a backlink in Note B indicating it is referenced by Note A.
  • Knowledge Graph: Displays connections between notes graphically, resembling a mind map.
  • Flexibility: Supports content reuse across notes, ideal for long-term knowledge accumulation and sparking creativity.
  • Markdown Driven: Links are based on Markdown syntax, highly compatible, but need processing to adapt to Hugo.
Example
In the note Obsidian Tips.md, write:
In Bidirectional Notes.md, Obsidian will display a backlink indicating it is referenced by Obsidian Tips.md. In the knowledge graph, the two notes will appear as nodes connected by an edge.

Always remember your goal at all times! When it comes to doing things, the most important aspect is what problem you are trying to solve and what the core of that problem is. Every moment of work should revolve around addressing that core issue. When people get busy, it’s easy for their minds to lose focus, especially when there’s a lot of work. Make sure to periodically remind yourself whether your thinking has veered off track or been distracted by unimportant matters. The same principle applies to bigger things, like life’s major goals or phased achievements. You need to periodically pause, reflect on the core problem you’re solving, and correct any deviations immediately. These past few days, I’ve noticed I’ve been getting too caught up in minor details, which wastes time. Sometimes pursuing perfection isn’t a good thing. When working, the most important thing is always just one thing—focus on the core priority, and other things can wait.

A great learning method: when studying online, take notes simultaneously, jotting down all the tutorial content. Capture screenshots of key points, then make sure you understand it. If you’ve taken notes properly, there shouldn’t be any issues. Then, organize these notes again—this not only deepens your understanding and consolidates the results but also helps clarify your own thought process during the review. Afterward, share these notes online to help more people learn. Output drives input—this habit of becoming a knowledge-sharing blogger should be cultivated.

If a person views the world with a static perspective, they will immediately fall behind. Time cost is a hard constraint: if you’re doing research, you can pursue the correct answer at all costs, but projects are different. You must deliver a feasible solution within the current resources and time window, then iterate while moving forward. The market will never wait for you.
